Crime Dynamic Duos: ‘Hawaii Five-0’ (Steve / Danny) vs. ‘Criminal Minds’ (JJ / Reid)
We’re back with another edition of our Crime Dynamic Duos article series, and today, we’re looking at what could be one of the closer races in the entire series to determine the best pair of crime-fighters in the genre. Take a look at why they qualify, and the poll to pick your favorite, below in this article!
If you haven’t seen any of the article series so far, you can read more about it here — basically, voting is open between now and September 12, and new polls will be put up daily feature two new sets of characters. By the end of the polls, only one duo will reign supreme!
Danny and Steve, “Hawaii Five-0” (4) – These two guys are the ultimate crime version of the old married couple. They bicker incessantly when they are on the case, and we feel like even when they’re off work, they spend the majority of their time ragging on each other. Yet, at the same time there is a great deal of mutual respect there (even if they don’t often want to admit it), and then the chips are down, they are there for each other. A great example of this could come in the events of the season finale with the transplant.
JJ and Reid, “Criminal Minds” (5) – Are there a whole lot of dynamic duos left on the series? We’re not quite sure that the answer there is yes, mostly because of the fact that Shemar Moore’s character of Morgan was the glue who held many members of the team together. Reid and JJ were one of the few pairs who existed and were strong even without him in scenes, and moving forward into season 12, their intelligence and spirit are going to make them essential. Plus, the more of AJ Cook and Matthew Gray Gubler we get, the happier we’re going to be.
