‘Rizzoli & Isles’ series finale preview: Say goodbye with ‘Ocean-Frank’

We gotta say that when we first thought about how “Rizzoli & Isles” would end as a series, it was not with an episode that seems to be a Frank Ocean reference. Maybe the writers room had a secret copy of his new album? Anyway, “Ocean-Frank” is the title for the final episode, and the synopsis below offers up some further information as to what to expect:

“The facts don’t add up when a dead man is found handcuffed to a bed in his own home. As the “Bon Voyage” party approaches, everyone makes a video to say goodbye. In the series finale episode of Rizzoli & Isles, everyone says farewell and plans for their next adventure.”

Basically, it looks like for the final episode the show is really going to try to conjure up the best of everything. You’re going to have one final case to help give you a little bit of that element of the show, and then at the end you’re going to see something that serves as a worthy preview to what the next chapter of these characters’ lives will be.

Since we haven’t seen the episode just yet it doesn’t seem right to say anything definite one way or another regarding what could be next. However, at the same time we do personally think it’d be strange if the series ended without a happy ending for most key characters. We’ve never felt this to be a show interesting in smashing any hearts into pieces when the dust settles.
