‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders’ season 2 casts series of ‘Supernatural’ stars
While you may not be seeing more of “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” until midseason, it’s never to early to start learning a thing or two about what could be coming up! That is especially true when what is coming up has to do with some actors from the “Supernatural” world stopping by.
In a post on Twitter, Adam Glass revealed that Richard Speight Jr. (Gabriel), Rob Benedict (Chuck a.k.a. God), Matt Cohen (John Winchester, the younger version), and Osric Chau (Kevin) are all going to be making appearances over the course of the second season. Glass prior to this show worked as a writer and executive producer on “Supernatural,” just in case you were wondering what was with the sudden surge of familiar faces stopping by here.
As Glass noted, there could be more “Supernatural”-related guests coming in the future, and that certainly should help the “Criminal Minds” spin-off get a little bit more attention when it comes to its overall audience. While it was renewed earlier this year, it didn’t necessarily get the sort of ratings that make you feel absolutely confident that it will have another season in the future. Therefore, why not try to appeal to the “Supernatural” fan base as much as possible? After all, it’s highly unlikely that the two are going to be competitive at all when it comes to timeslots.
Once more information is available on the second season, of course we’ll have it for you here — let’s just hope that “Beyond Borders” continues to have a relatively-quiet offseason in comparison to the show proper.
