NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: New details on post-Olympics special
Technically, the new season of “The Voice” is not premiering until September 19; yet, NBC is throwing us all a bone courtesy of a preview special that will air following the Olympics closing ceremony, and serve as a first opportunity to see Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys as coaches for the show.
So what can you expect to see? This special will be far shorter than your standard episode of “The Voice,” and according to E! News, will feature a couple of hopefuls hoping to impress. These two singers are going to have an instant advantage and disadvantage with the viewing public thanks to their placement on the show. They may have a chance to perform in front of one of the largest viewing audiences of the entire season, given that there will be a bevy of potential viewers who wouldn’t be there otherwise.
Yet, at the same exact time they’ve also got to be worried about the possibility that viewers forget about them given that there’s almost a good month between now and the start of the season. There could also be some members of the “Voice” faithful who aren’t expecting the special and are like “who?” at the time in which we get to the next phase of the competition and they make another appearance.
So long as these two performers are talented, and they have some sort of personality to go along with it, we really don’t think there’s all that much to worry about.
Rest assured that this is not the only coverage of “The Voice” we’re bringing you this weekend! If you head over here, you can take a look behind the scenes of the season featuring all of the coaches!
