‘Big Brother 18’ live review: Does Paulie Calafiore have the Round-Trip Ticket?

Paulie -Going into “Big Brother’s” latest eviction episode on Thursday night, we had an interesting situation where almost the entirety of the drama situated around a stupid twist that so far this season, has paid little to no dividends: The Round-Trip Ticket. Does Paulie have it? Are the conspiracy theorists right? Over this live review, we’ll have some answers.

For now, it’s easy to assess the situation leading into tonight’s show, largely because you don’t need live feeds to know that Paulie seems to be the consensus pick to depart the game. Even if someone did want him to stay (which doesn’t seem clear), the numbers just don’t align in a way that makes it happen. (Refresh the page for some further updates as the show goes on…)

Paulie pleads for his life – Kudos to production for showing him complaining about BAKING A PIE of all things. So lame. Yet, they still were fairly easy on him during the whole campaign process, given that there was nary a mention of some of his other misgivings, including him swearing on his extremely ill aunt and using her as strategy.

Brendon and Rachel’s baby – Cure segment. If this was a more eventful past few days we’d probably complain, but given that this was such a given eviction vote, we might as well spend a few minutes with show royalty.

Jury House a.k.a. the Threat Club – This was fun mostly for the sake of watching people realizing things. Also, Da’Vonne is the perfect person to be leading up jury, mostly because she’s so honest and can whip some of these people into shape. She certainly helped when it comes to Zakiyah.

Eviction – Say goodbye to Paulie! It was unanimous, and now the former favorite to win is gone. Also, no Round-Trip Ticket! Conspiracy theories sometimes are just that: Theories. Let’s just ignore most of that interview with Julie Chen, as it was for the most part insanely arrogant and insufferable.

Round-Trip Ticket Reveal – It’s Paul! Interestingly, he was the first to solve the puzzle, and it only seems appropriate that he’d have it. His reaction was pretty much gold.

At the end of the show, Julie announced that there will be another jury buyback … so Paulie’s not necessarily gone for good just yet. (Commence the cringe.)

Looking for Head of Household results? We’re going to have those a little bit later in the day over at this link(Let’s just hope for either quick results, or feeds that allow us to watch the action.)
