‘American Horror Story’ season 6: What sort of role should Lady Gaga play?
While FX has been extremely tight-lipped on the upcoming sixth season of “American Horror Story,” there are a few things that have been announced here and there. One of them is that Lady Gaga could be back in some capacity after making her debut as the Countess in “Hotel.” There’s no guarantee she would be a lead or in the majority of the series, but having her be a part of the series may be enough for some people to celebrate.
So what sort of role should we play? While we await some further information, we’ve got a few suggestions that would be as different as can be from who she was in season 5.
1. Someone completely innocent – How about putting her into the role of a southern belle, a puritan, or someone completely innocent to what is going on around her? Maybe think of Sister Mary Eunice from Asylum pre-possession. To us, there is something inherently fascinating about Gaga, who is known for being edgy and boundary-pushing, doing something completely unexpected.
2. The plucky hero – Think more here of Lana Winters from “Asylum,” or who we thought Wes Bentley was going to be playing last season before the big Ten Commandments Killer reveal. Make Gaga more of an everyman character who is out for the truth, and may suffer through trials and tribulations to get it. It’d certainly give her a chance to flex a wide array of different acting muscles.
3. The cold, detached villain – What made the Countess so notable was that she was a shrewd manipulator, and also someone who dealt in a currency of power and passion. You can keep Gaga as a character with the capacity to kill, but how about giving her almost no social skills whatsoever? Think this time Javier Bardem from “No Country for Old Men,” someone you cannot fully pin down.
What sort of role could you want to see from Gaga this season? Let us know now in the comments.

Someone who people are afraid of…like a monster….but don’t realize is actually good. Maybe a misunderstood monster?
