‘Outcast’ season 2: Take a look at the first casting news!

Outcast -

Sometimes, television production and scheduling can lead to some novel things happening, and this is one of them: While season 1 of Cinemax’s “Outcast” will wrap things up Friday night, production on season 2 has already begun. While this does happen occasionally, it is still moderately rare that production is this far ahead.

With this in mind, we are rather pleased to have for you some of the first bit of casting news for what you can expect whenever season 2 does premiere. Rest assured that there are no significant spoilers in this article, so it shouldn’t impact your enjoyment of the finale. This bit of casting news comes via Deadline.

M.C. Gainey – The “Django Unchained” actor is going to play a hermit named Bob, one who is responsible for keeping the junkyard running on the outskirts of Rome. He may hold some information that proves valuable to the history of this messed-up down, and he’s not an easy guy to get to know.

Hoon Lee – Lee comes from another Cinemax series in “Banshee” (networks do love using familiar faces), and here he will play a well-regard surgeon at Roome’s local hospital. His name is Dr. Kenneth Park, and he is also a Chief of Staff. The report notes that he has his own “cryptic agenda” geared towards the Kyle character.

Madelyn Deutch – Finally, we know that the “Texas Rising” actress will be a “free spirit” named Dakota, someone who could be at odds with Reverend Anderson over their differing opinions on Christianity. While this could cause some conflict, she could also prove valuable courtesy of her knowledge of what may have happened to Rome.
