‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7 spoilers: First news on eventful premiere!
The seventh season of “Hawaii Five-0” is going to be premiering on CBS a little bit later this fall, and you better believe that Danny and McGarrett are going to still be dealing with the aftermath of the transplant in the season 6 finale.
According to some details released by CBS, the premiere is going to revolve around a potential vigilante. The body of a serial killer is found in headquarters with a chess piece in their mouth; following this, another serial killer is found in the same position. This puts the team in a state of urgency, mostly because of growing fears that with such a killer on the loose (even if they are killing bad people a la Dexter Morgan), the tourism business may suffer.
As for McGarrett’s involvement in the investigation, let’s just say that Steve is not altogether interested in taking a chill pill. While Danny wants him to try to take it easy after surgery, his partner is not going to be too keen on listening. Instead, he may find some sort of comfort in conversation with someone with a “special connection” to the team … whatever that may mean.
In the end, this is precisely what we want to see in the premiere of this show as a longtime viewer — we want to see good character drama mixed with an exciting, high-stakes case. Given that this is the premiere, the idea is that you do want to go big. After all, there will be some opportunities down the road to slow things down if you need to.
