‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 7 video: Danger lies ahead in ‘Moral Hazard’
At the moment, it certainly feels as though Monday night’s new episode of “Major Crimes” is going to be the most dangerous one of the season so far. After all, we have a mentally-unstable person on the run after a series of deaths in a tow yard, and with an arsenal that makes him more than capable of killing other people.
The title for this episode is “Moral Hazard,” and the promo below really does not give too much other information away other than reminding us just what sort of danger the team is up against. It’s loud, explosive, and clearly meant to bring attention to casual viewers who may not watch the show every week. We really do think that is what TNT is going for with the majority of these, since they rarely give anything major away about the episodes and we therefore have to think that they are trying to attract an audience of people who aren’t already watching. The know the loyal fans are going to be checking in anyway.
Now, is it possible that we could actually lose a team member in the midst of all of this gunfire? We do think it’s possible, and it could come without much warning. While some shows really tease to no end the death of major characters, we’ve never really thought of “Major Crimes” as one that is going to give much away in advance. Given that these characters are constantly putting their lives on the line, you do have to think that this sort of thing is possible.

Looks like a very intense episode with all hands on deck. It’s great to see Sharon in the trenches more often this season. – Seems to be a close call for Provenza. But, as you said: As usual, they don’t give away very much. I’m curious what’s really going on and what will be the consequences in the long run… – I don’t think he will be killed off but retirement might be an option for him especially regarding his newly established personal life. However, this show has kind of a record of being very faithful to their characters and Provenza is definitely one of the assets.

Damn. Matt! That isn’t anything to even tease about!
It would have to be one of the four guys suncertainty Amy and Sharon aren’t even in the scene. I am wondering if this is what prompts Provenza’s talk about retirement that James has hinted to though. One of the fans posted a still of him with blood on him in the fan group.
I can’t even begin to imagine this show without ANY of the members on it. They are the best ensemble I have ever had the pleasure of watching.
