‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Jerry O’Connell snags mystery role

Isn’t this turning out to be a busy few months for Jerry O’Connell? The actor recently recurred on the fourth season of “Mistresses,” and now he is moving on to some scarier waters. Specifically, we’re talking here about “Scream Queens” and its upcoming second season!

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, O’Connell is going to appear in a recurring role on the Ryan Murphy comedy hybrid, but for the time being specifics are being kept under wraps. In some ways, it’s almost like Murphy is becoming like Shonda Rhimes when it comes to keeping many of his castings a secret. Then again, we presume that it will only add to the fun to find out later precisely who some of these actors are going to be! He is certainly have some success at the moment when it comes to mystery castings. After all, have you seen what is going on when it comes to the sixth season of “American Horror Story”? Then man is saying almost nothing about that, and we’re probably more curious about the show’s future than we ever were before “Hotel.”

O’Connell is joining what we’d consider to be a real who’s who of series regulars and guest stars going into the second season. Sure, you knew that “Scream Queens” already had the likes of Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, and Jamie Lee Curtis, but some of the new additions to this season include John Stamos, Colton Haynes, Taylor Lautner, and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Cecily Strong.

In looking at all of these castings, there is one thing we’re feeling with confidence: This is going to be a really fun batch of episodes ahead!
