‘Criminal Minds’ season 12: Kirsten Vangsness on Emily Prentiss’ return and more

The twelfth season of “Criminal Minds” is going to be coming your way soon, but before we roll around to that, why not get some more insight from someone who has certainly seen many adventures play out on the show?

Kirsten Vangsness was one of the attendees to a hodgepodge CBS panel while at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, and in the video below, you can hear her discuss a wide array of topics, from her summer off to Garcia to of course the upcoming season. One of the questions asked was the return of Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss, and now that this is confirmed, it is nice to see her discuss that a little bit.

Both Brewster and Aisha Tyler are going to be returning in some capacity, which is great in helping to produce more of a familiar environment with the team. This is a show that really thrives on producing this sort of atmosphere, and one of the reasons why so many people watch and are tapped in to the show is because they feel like they can come back here and be entertained by the same characters week in and week out. This in turn is why some people were so sad over the exit of Shemar Moore; hopefully, newcomer Adam Rodriguez will come in and find some unique ways to fill the void.

Hopefully, there’ll be some more teases on upcoming episodes in the weeks to come. Given the show has really only just begun, it could take some time for more scoop to be released.
