‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: Meet Burgess’ new partner
At the end of the third season of “Chicago PD,” it was clear with Roman’s departure that Burgess was going to need someone new at her side. Who is it? We’re now pleased to have an answer!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Quantico” alum Li Jun Li is going to be appearing in at least three episodes of the upcoming fourth season as Julie Tay, the officer assigned to work with Kim moving forward following the harrowing events at the end of last season with the backdoor pilot for “Chicago Justice.” There is not too much known about this role yet beyond her name, but there is an option in place for her to become a series regular if the producers like what they see from her.
Production is beginning this week on the fourth season, which has some other rather-immense challenges when you think about having to move Voight forward beyond what we saw from him in the finale. Obviously, this is a show that likes to draw many inspirations from real-life events, and this is not a particularly easy time to be a police officer, even one who operates more on the straight and narrow. “Chicago Justice” will launch at midseason, and we anticipate that at some point along the way we’ll be getting a chance to see some other crossovers with this show as well.
Rest assured that we’ll have some further casting intel on the new season the moment that it comes out!
