‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 poster: Two sides of a Queen
The sixth season of “Once Upon a Time” is of course going to make its presence felt at Comic-Con later this month, and with that, ABC has released a new promotional that feels in some ways brand-new, but in others incredibly familiar.
This poster (which you can see below via Entertainment Weekly) features Lana Parrilla’s Regina Mills front and center, but her Evil Queen persona more so that her Storybrooke counterpart. The biggest reason for that is probably just that this is roughly the same image from the first two seasons, so the network’s promo department didn’t have to change too much up.
The big difference is the famous apple at the bottom of the poster, which is divided in two by lightning to show the two separate sides of Regina that are presumably out there in the world. The evil part of her is now roaming free, which is both good news (in that she can be somewhat liberated from it) and also bad (so many other people are at risk, and there’s a chance Regina could be blamed for it). If you’re going to use the same poster in some form almost every year, you may as well be creative about it! We’ll at least give the network a little bit of credit for that.
In addition to Regina’s dual sides, the sixth season will focus in part on the Land of Untold Stories, and many of the characters who come from it arriving in Storybrooke with their own separate agendas in tow.
