‘Outcast’ episode 5 air date, synopsis confirmed; other details
Following this past episode of “Outcast” on Cinemax, it was not entirely clear precisely when the show was going to return for more episodes, largely because there was some conflicting information from different places on the web. Not only that, but the promo that was posted online for episode 5 didn’t specify if it was coming this Friday or the week after.
Well, we’ve now got confirmation that the series is (understandably) taking this weekend off for July 4, feeling as though there will be some people off doing other things. There’s a lot of statistical data out there to back this up as the right move; for a first-year series, it does not really seem smart to do anything to jeopardize those live numbers.
Below, we’ve got the synopses and premiere dates for several of the “Outcast” episodes airing in July, courtesy of a new Cinemax release.
Episode 1×05, “The Road Before Us” (July 8) – “Kyle (Patrick Fugit) presses his estranged wife, Allison (Kate Lyn Sheil), to meet; a suspicious Chief Giles (Reg E. Cathey) shadows his best friend.”
Episode 1×06, “From the Shadows It Watches” (July 15) – “Rev. Anderson (Philip Glenister) finds his powers sorely tested; Patricia (Melinda McGraw) reaches out to Kyle (Patrick Fugit); Sidney (Brent Spiner) delivers a warning.”
Episode 1×07, “The Damage Zone” (July 22) – “Kyle (Patrick Fugit) and Allison (Kate Lyn Sheil) revisit their past; Rev. Anderson (Philip Glenister) gets carried away during Remembrance Day.”
Episode 1×08, “What Lurks Within” (July 29) – “Rev. Anderson (Philip Glenister) finds himself increasingly alienated; Kyle (Patrick Fugit) has a stunning revelation from Sidney (Brent Spiner).”
Ultimately, kudos to Cinemax for actually revealing a few details on upcoming episodes without giving too much away. There are far too many premium-cable shows that are a little gun-shy when it comes to this subject.
