Teen Choice Awards 2016: ‘Teen Wolf,’ Dylan O’Brien, Rowan Blanchard top our Summer TV polls

We’ve reached the end of the road here today when it comes to sharing results for wave 2 of our Teen Choice Awards polls, so after discussing some of the “Summer TV” categories in this article, we will be saying goodbye for a little while … even if it won’t be forever. We presume that a third wave is coming down the road, and we imagine that we’ll be popping in here once more with some quick-takes on some of those people.

Summer Show – While “Teen Wolf” is not even technically on this summer (at least so far), that didn’t stop people from voting for the MTV series. The show managed to get 53% of the overall vote, a sizable lead over “Girl Meets World.”

Summer TV Actor – This was a runaway like nobody’s business. Not only did Dylan O’Brien manage to take more votes than the rest of the other competitors in this category combined, but it was by a margin that was still sizable. We do think he is a lock to win at the actual awards, as well, for both the quality of work and the sentiment that is out there about him while he recovers from injury.

Summer TV Actress – We anticipate the award being competitive on the broadcast between Rowan Blanchard of “Girl Meets World” and the two ladies from “Pretty Little Liars” in Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell. In our poll, Rowan was the winner with a solid 43% of the vote.
