‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Chicago PD’ alum to play new District Attorney

Based on what we saw on the “Chicago PD” finale earlier this spring, things do not look particularly great for the character of Justin Voight; however, at the same time things are looking rather great for Josh Segarra given his latest gig on “Arrow” season 5.

As first reported by Deadline, Segarra is going to play a series-regular role by the name of Adrian Chase, a guy who will be the new District Attorney in Star City and will do what he can to fight for what he believes his right. However, at the same time he is someone who has some serious ghosts from his past that he will be doing his best to overcome, and those will be a story that plays out somewhat over the course of the season.

Is Adrian going to be a friend, or a foe, to Oliver Queen and the rest of the cast of characters? That’s something that remains firmly in the to-be-determined camp. Obviously, we want to hope that there is some serious good-guy upside to him, but in the comics Chase does have a connection to Deathstroke. We’re not sure that this will be explored on the show given that Manu Bennett hasn’t surfaced in more than a year, but it could be a way to get him more firmly involved in some way.

“Arrow” will premiere with season 7 at some point this fall, so be sure to stick around for some other updates.
