‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 spoilers: When will things start to get serious?

Season 3 of “Girl Meets World” started out on a fairly serious note with “Girl Meets High School,” which to us marked a transitional time for Riley, Lucas, and the rest of the cast to get adjusted to a different way of life. This in turn came after several dramatic episodes to close out season 2, so we were thrilled to move into a little bit more of a silly, lighthearted direction with “Girl Meets Jaxica” this past week. After all, this was a nice reminder that this show is, when the dust settles, still a comedy.

So what is coming up now as we move forward into the future? A variety of other stories, and some of them could be back in a more serious vein. Judging from the recent post on the show writers’ official Twitter page, we could have one more funny half-hour coming in “Girl Meets High School,” and then many of the other upcoming episodes — “Girl Meets Triangle,” “Upstate,” “True Maya,” “Ski Lodge,” and “I Do” will take things in a poignant direction.

One thing that we’re certainly looking forward to seeing is a more thorough look at how these characters feel, the value they place in their relationships, and what they want out of their future. This season had been set up by the writers as “a season of feelings,” so we figure there will be some more buildup to that as we get closer and closer to these episodes airing.
