Teen Choice Awards 2016: Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Candice Patton, Grant Gustin fight for ‘chemistry’ prize

Sometimes, things get a little more out there when it comes to the Teen Choice Awards, and we imagine that this must have been how the idea for a Choice TV: Chemistry category came up in the first place. It’s such a completely random thing to award a surfboard on, but hey, people really love ‘shipping! We do get it, since you become attached to shows you watch and in the end, you root for certain people to have either the best friendship or relationship possible. After all, not all of the nominees on this list are necessarily love interests.

Who will win – This one is going to be tricky to figure out, since there are basically five huge fan bases fighting it out in here and then “Fuller House.” If all else fails, we’re going to say that Ashley and Tyler will end up winning the award just because “Pretty Little Liars” often does well; yet, “The Vampire Diaries” has also cleaned house at this show over the years, so you really would be silly to try to write off Kat and Ian as serious contenders for the prize.

Who should win – We feel like the Clarke / Bellamy dynamic on “The 100” is interesting, and course we will always root for Barry Allen and Iris West to end up together. We’d say that the end of “The Flash” season 2 is enough to make us want to vote for them if we are being serious; yet, there’s a serious allure to vote for Jared and Misha just to see what their acceptance speech would be like…
