‘Silicon Valley’ season 3, episode 5 video: Is Richard on the chopping block … again?
Life has not been easy for Richard Hendricks ever since the funding of Pied Piper, and on Sunday night’s new episode of “Silicon Valley,” it definitely does not appear as though that is going to be changing in the foreseeable future.
In the preview below for Sunday’s new episode, you can specifically see a new struggle emerge for Richard as he starts to realize that the “empty chair” of Jack Barker may not be what it seems, and it is certainly possible that Laurie is simply waiting until Friday to dismiss him, as well. Is that really the case? We don’t understand what the reasoning would be if she realizes that these five are really the only people who can build her a platform in enough time to rival what EndFrame a.k.a. now Hooli are going to be doing with their own technology. It’s a race against time at this point, and you would think that you would want to speed things along as best you can.
While all of this is going on, Erlich’s new scheme apparently involves just trying to use Big Head’s incubator as a way to fleece him of a ton of money. We get why it’s going down: Big Head is a super-easy mark for one, and Erlich’s probably also a little bit bored given that he has not really been included on a lot of what Pied Piper has been up to as of late.
Above all else, we just hope that the season finds it footing moving forward, since episode 3 so far has really been the only one to combine absurdity and hilarity in the way we had it during the first two seasons.
