‘Person of Interest’ season 5 spoilers: First news on (super-intense) 100th episode
“Person of Interest” is just full of milestones on its final season. Obviously, you’re going to have a chance to see a series finale next month that could put everything in perspective, but even before that there will be a few exciting events here and there. One of them just so happens to be the 100th episode of the series entitled “The Day the World Went Away,” which is going to air on Tuesday, May 31. (Awesome title.)
The synopsis below makes it clear precisely what is going to be coming up during this hour, and how it will be especially significant to Michael Emerson’s character of Finch:
“Finch’s number comes up when a fatal error blows his cover identity and sets off a deadly series of escalating encounters with Samaritan’s operatives.”
What this synopsis tells us above all else is that this show is doing everything that it can to blow off the doors in the final season, exposing secrets and putting characters in the most challenging situations that they’ve been in over the course of the entire series. What happens to Finch without his cover? It’s something that should be interesting to see, and also set in motion events that will play out in the final episodes. After all, this is the tenth episode of season 5, and there are only a few more hours of the story after it.
Of course, we’ll continue to have further updates all about this journey every step of the way. Stay tuned, and be prepared for anything!
