Is ‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 22 (finale) new tonight on CBS? New Thomas Gibson photo
Judging from the way last week’s new episode of “Criminal Minds” ended, it is pretty fair to project that there could be some extremely emotional moments ahead. Antonia (Frances Fisher) warned Hotch that a “storm” could be coming, so isn’t it only fair that the season 11 finale be titled “The Storm”?
Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait a week in order to see it. For whatever reason, maybe to just keep the show on during May sweeps, CBS has opted for there to be a repeat tonight for the exciting conclusion to the season. What we do have for you below is a new photo of Thomas Gibson as seen above.
During the finale, expect Hotch to be put through the ringer as he is suspected of being behind some sort of vast conspiracy, and it could be up to make other members of the team to clear his name and prove his innocence. It’s a classic sort of race-against-time episode, and it sounds like it will give us some significant opportunities to see various team members shine.
Above all else, though, we’re looking forward to Gibson getting the spotlight. This is something that he has really merited for a long time given his quality of work, but for whatever reason the show has not put too much of an emphasis on him beyond his role in specific missions as of late. This episode changes that, and perhaps it will be a great jumping-off point for season 12. (The show hasn’t been renewed yet, but it feels almost like a formality.)
