‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 21 video: Watch an AJ Cook scene now!

The season finale of “Criminal Minds” is going to be a two-part affair, with the first part of the story in “Devil’s Backbone” airing on CBS Wednesday night. This particular installment is going to feature an appearance from none other than Frances Fisher playing a convicted killer behind bars, and based on what we’ve heard, she will also be back in some capacity for the finale on May.

In the sneak peek below, what you specifically have a chance to see is a scene featuring JJ (AJ Cook) doing her best to try to get some information, and using what she knows about behavior in order to do so. She tries to relate to the UnSub, and try to find some common ground before asking about some mysterious clothing. However, what we learn in turn is not much, other than that the killer claims to have a lot of fans out there who send her things. There is probably a certain degree of truth to this, since many killers do often get a strange degree of fame in the aftermath of committing their crimes. In the end, JJ may have to find a different tactic to get the answers that she needs.

This preview is interesting, and a nice showcase of both Cook and Fisher’s work; hopefully, it sets a nice foundation for what we’re going to get the remainder of the season. for Fisher, this is certainly a far cry from the role that she played over the past couple of years on “Resurrection.”
