‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: The story of Bonnie and Enzo

What is the history of Bonnie and Enzo’s relationship on “The Vampire Diaries“? Almost from the very point we learned that Bonnie and Enzo were in some sort of relationship in the future, we’ve been very curious to learn a thing or two more regarding how that happened.

Well, we are going to get a chance to see some more of that moving into the upcoming April 22 installment of the CW series. For a little more information on that, we’ve got a very simple-but-effective tease coming your way, courtesy of executive producer Julie Plec’s recent chat with TV Guide:

“We get to tell the story that catches us up to today … We get to understand why Bonnie is in the psych ward, how Bonnie and Enzo fell in love and got together. And it tells a beautiful little love story over the course of the episode.”

Hopefully, this is a story that will continue on moving further into the season, and maybe even into next season. We are still wondering what the endgame for many of these characters, and when it comes to Bonnie, that endgame may need to come sooner rather than later thanks to Kat Graham departing at the end of season 8. Therefore, the show may need to move a little bit more quickly on this story than many others that are out there.
