Is ‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 19 new tonight? New Julianna Margulies – ‘Party’ photo

Given that there is a new episode of “Madam Secretary” airing on CBS Sunday night, we imagine it is fairly easy to anticipate that it will be followed by another episode of “The Good Wife” season 7 to go along with it. Unfortunately, we are sad to say that this is not the case. The drama will remain off the air for one more week, largely because of the decision by the network to double up on “Elementary” episodes tonight in order to ensure that it ends within the thick of May sweeps. (It still has many episodes to go, and it airs 24 a season as opposed to “The Good Wife” with 22.)

Here is the caveat to this far-from-great news: Tonight is the last time you will ever face a “Good Wife” hiatus during the run of the show. The next four episodes in “Landing” (April 17), “Party” (April 24), “Verdict” (May 1) and the series finale “End” (May 8) will air in succession, and all at the standard time in 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Of course after that the show’s over, and that’s not exactly something to smile about!

The photo that we have attached above to this article is a particularly notable one of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) from “Party,” which is in part a story about celebrating Howard and Jackie’s upcoming wedding. She throws an event to commemorate the occasion, but over the course of the night there are a few wrong turns that cause her to be far from pleased with the end result. This episode will carry into “Verdict,” which should be largely about Peter Florrick’s trial and other personal matters.

This show is getting set to enter the home stretch, so we just hope you are prepared for what is more-than-likely going to be an emotional journey moving forward. We will be here every step of the way.
