NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 5, episode 17 preview: What does Adalind’s change mean for Nick?
It doesn’t quite matter whether or not Nick is on the job on “Grimm”; he still has to handle transformations at almost every turn. He dealt with some super-painful stuff courtesy of Juliette last season, and now the same precise thing is taking shape with Adalind. She has her powers back, but how will she use them? Who will it end up impacting? These are the questions we’re waiting to find out moving into the next Friday’s installment, which carries with it the title of “Inugami.”
The promo below is what shows you more of the danger when it comes to Adalind, as her transformations are going to lead to both trouble and a pretty heated confrontation to go along with it. Meanwhile, the attached synopsis offers up some further news in terms of what to expect:
“When the severed head of a young man is found under a bridge, Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) find themselves on the case of Japanese Wesen acting on an ancient tradition of revenge. Elsewhere, Adalind (Claire Coffee) decides to go back to work at her old law firm and has her first face-to-face with Eve (Bitsie Tulloch).”
Hopefully by the end of this season we’ll know just what Nick’s personal life looks like, and we can only hope for his sake that it is slightly less chaotic than it is at present. After all, just consider what he has gone through and what he will likely continue to go through. We cannot imagine that this is easy stuff to stomach, even if it is entertaining for us as a viewer to have him be put through so many paces.

Am I wrong, but hasn’t Nick always known Adalind was a Hexenbiest merely suppressed? What’s the deal, now he’s surprised? Remember his thoughts after their night together before he left for Germany? Trust me, deep down Nick realizes she’s a biest and he’s gotten this far knowing that.

I miss when the Wesens were afraid of The Grimm. Now they are like, oh you’re a Grimm.
