TV Quick Hits: ‘Greek’ reunion movie; ‘Orphan Black’ teaser; ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ clip
Freeform brings back “Greek” – For those of you who missed the iconic series back when it was on ABC Family, there’s some great news that came out this afternoon: The series is coming back … albeit rather briefly.
The network is going to be bringing “Greek: The Reunion” to you as potentially a holiday special later this year, and it will feature many of the characters returning for what is effective a five-year reunion. There’s no word on which former cast members will be returning just yet, but we feel like they wouldn’t be doing this unless many of them agreed to come back. Hopefully, there’ll be some further information on this in due time.
As for some other news from the day…
Anna Camp on “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” – This of this as a great marriage of two things we really enjoy. In this clip from the show’s return (premiering April 15) you can see Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) spending some time with Camp’s Deidre in what certainly feels like a spoof of “The Real Housewives.” This show is going to be premiering in just over a week, so there are going to be plenty of opportunities to see it in action.
“Orphan Black” preview – The BBC America series is returning on April 14, so what better way to get excited than by watching the first few minutes now? Clearly, the network is doing almost everything that they can to give you something substantial to look forward to, and we certainly could not be happier about it. It’s definitely better than just putting out a tiny clip of just a minute and a half, as many networks do.
