‘American Crime Story’ season 2: Does Cuba Gooding Jr. want to return?
The second season of “American Crime Story” is more than likely a ways out, and with that, we don’t really want to get ahead of ourselves when it comes to dishing out details. For the time being, what we know is that Hurricane Katrina is going to serve as the setting, and that the show doesn’t seem to be interested in following strictly the celebrity-culture angle once more. Instead, it will show a different side of crime, and how the failures of larger organizations impact everyday people.
For the time being, though, it’s unclear who could be involved, but Cuba Gooding Jr. said per The Hollywood Reporter following his turn as OJ Simpson that he’d like to work with executive producer Ryan Murphy once more:
“I have an immense interest in working with Ryan Murphy again, so if he calls me for something, you know my phone will be on.”
Gooding did not necessarily specify that the project had to be season 2 of this show, but we could definitely see him back for more. After all, it would make a little bit more sense to bring him back given the caliber of performance here. We also know that John Travolta has an interest, as well, in doing more, so much of this could come down to if there is the right story in place for these actors, and what their schedules could look like since they’ll probably have many offers coming in after this.
