‘Britain’s Got Talent’: Simon Cowell mulled getting judges on ‘X Factor’
The season premiere of “Britain’s Got Talent” is going to be airing on ITV this weekend, and there are so many different reasons for us to be excited about this. Above all else, though, is the mere fact that we just so happen to love this silly show more than almost any other of its kind on TV. They’ve got a great diversity of talent, and they also have the best panel of judges anywhere in David Walliams (our personal spirit animal), Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Simon Cowell.
Speaking per the Mirror, Cowell admitted that these judges are so popular and so likable, there was at least a time when he considered bringing them over to “The X Factor,” a show that certainly does need some sort of a creative overhaul and judges people can really get behind week in and week out:
“I’ve got to admit, I think the four of us on the panel is about as good as we’re ever going to get … We actually even considered transferring them all on to X Factor at one point, but their egos, if I ever suggested it, would be unbearable.”
We understand why they’re not “X Factor” judges given that Walliams in particular is a comedian rather than a musician or an executive in that industry; still, we would have a ball watching his team perform. Just give him a category that will allow him to find some camp acts and let us run completely wild with them, just for the fun of it all.
