‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 17 preview: Joseph Morgan directs ‘Behind the Black Horizon’
Just in case you are looking for yet another reason to be excited about the next new episode of “The Originals,” we believe that we’ve got it for you right now: Joseph Morgan is stepping into the director’s chair! He is making his show debut in this role for “Behind the Black Horizon,” an episode that could feature many members of the first family of vampires having to team up in order to rescue Freya.
There’s especially a lot to like here when you also consider that we are heading to Mystic Falls in this episode, and anytime that we see a character or two from this show within that world, it’s fair to say that there are some interesting things that unfold.
Want to know more? Then just be sure to check out the attached synopsis right away:
“When its discovered that Freya (Riley Voelkel) has been kidnapped and is in the hands of a dangerous new threat, the Mikaelson brothers are forced to put aside their differences in order to save her before it’s too late. Following a lead that brings them to Mystic Falls, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Finn (guest star Casper Zafer) run into deputy Matt Donovan (guest star Zach Roerig), who does not take well to new vampires in his town. Meanwhile, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) work together to uncover the motive behind one of Lucien’s (guest star Andrew Lees) secret agendas, while a troubling shift in Kol’s (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) behavior leaves Davina (Danielle Campbell) concerned for their future together.”
Through this story, it’s pretty clear that there will be violence, but with Mystic Falls appearing, there should be plenty of good stuff for all of the “Vampire Diaries” fans out there, as well.
