‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 19 spoilers: ‘Tribute’ synopsis hints at Morgan aftermath, Paget Brewster return
Due in part to the shocking events of last week’s episode of “Criminal Minds” entitled “A Beautiful Disaster,” CBS made the understandable decision to wait on sharing some of the first details regarding “Tribute,” the new installment of the show that is airing on Wednesday night. Luckily, they’ve now been kind enough to lift that aforementioned veil.
The synopsis below in some ways really could have been released prior to this past episode had the network really wanted to be so, since the only thing that they would’ve had to do was omit the final sentence of it. After all, there is a big story coming up here beyond the aftermath of Shemar Moore’s exit as Morgan; we’re also getting the return of Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss:
“When former BAU team member and current Interpol Agent Emily Prentiss tracks an international serial killer, she enlists the help of her friends at the BAU after she is convinced the UnSub’s next victim is on American soil. Also, the BAU deals with Morgan’s departure from the team.”
While it does not seem at present like Brewster is coming aboard the show in a full-time capacity, it certainly is nice to have her back for another guest spot. This is something that she’s been keen to do here and there, and it’s a nice thing that we wish was replicated more often elsewhere. After all, Prentiss was a big part of the series, and given that she works for such a high-level agency now it does make some sense that she and the BAU would collaborate here and there.
