‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 video: Thomas Gibson, AJ Cook, more react to Shemar Moore’s exit
At this particular point in time, we understand if many fans of “Criminal Minds” are still reeling from the exit of Shemar Moore last night. It was a nice, noble way to write him out in many ways, since you were keeping it open for him to return down the road if so chooses. Morgan gets to go and have a life, and with that he gets to raise a child without being in fear that someone is going to come and kill him.
If you watch the video below featuring Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, AJ Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, Kirsten Vangsness, and showrunner Erica Messer, odds are that you’re going to have a wide array of emotions. At first, you’ll be really sad that he is gone, but there are some nice, warm memories shared in here. Actors leave shows sometimes, and it is just a part of the fabric of being in this business. The great news for this show is just that it had a chance to keep him around for so long.
The good news about next week’s new episode is that you’ll get a chance to see another familiar face in Emily Prentiss. Given that Paget Brewster has already handled the transition from this show, she should be able to come in and provide some unique perspective.
Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of Morgan at some point down the line; while “Criminal Minds” has not been renewed just yet for a season 12, we still feel somewhat encouraged by recent ratings that it will happen.
