NBC’s ‘The Voice’ video: Diddy, Tori Kelly, Gwen Stefani, Patti LaBelle offer advice

The Battle Rounds are going to be continuing on “The Voice” Monday night, and we’re honestly a little bit surprised that NBC hasn’t released a sneak peek yet of a battle coming up tonight. Maybe they will a little later today.

While we wait to see what happens with that, though, why not check out a sneak peek featuring some of the advisers sharing some of the biggest advice they have received over the course of their careers? This clip shows off Tori Kelly, Patti LaBelle, Sean “Diddy” Combs a.k.a. Puff Daddy, and Gwen Stefani all talking about the journey they have went to get to the point that they are now in their careers.

We’re always torn about the role of advisers on the show. From one standpoint, it is super-great to have these people around to impart some wisdom, and advice, but we hate the Battle Round format and how it takes so long to get to the battles every time. It’s almost with that in mind we wish that the show shifted more towards having these advisers coming in for the live shows, where either one comes in a week to help every singer, or they come in for a couple of weeks to work alongside a coach. We think either one of these could work.

For Gwen, you are of course going to see a lot more of her on the show potentially next season, provided that she wants to return.
