‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: What happens when Sheldon’s laptop dies?

The bad news is that there is no new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” between now and March 31, but the good news is that we can at least now present some of the earliest of details regarding what the next installment of the show will be. The title here is “The Solder Excursion Diversion,” and the just-released synopsis offers up at least a few more hints regarding what the story for this upcoming episode could be for Sheldon:

“Amy is shocked at a revelation from Sheldon after she buys him a new laptop. Also, Koothrappali sells out Leonard and Wolowitz after they lie to their wives in order to attend an early screening of a movie.”

Is Sheldon’s secret something that is going to have something to do with soldiers in any way? The only reason that we’re starting to think this now is that this is such a specific world for the title, and we don’t really get any sort of context for it in the synopsis otherwise. Then again, this could also have something to do with whatever Leonard and Howard are doing in order to see a movie; maybe this is named “Soldier Excursion,” though war movies don’t really seem to be their thing.

We imagine that in a week or so’s time, we’ll probably get at least a few more details courtesy of CBS, and at that point maybe we can ascertain a little bit better as to what is truly going on here.
