‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Maisie Williams teases ‘low point’ for Arya Stark

Arya -When you consider some of what Arya Stark has been through over the course of the past few years of “Game of Thrones,” the idea of Maisie Williams saying that her character is at her darkest hour is quite a grim projection for where the story is going. She’s been taken from her family, forced to travel with the Hound, and had to kill for the sake of her survival. Now, she’s seemingly lost her eyesight, and is struggling to find a place in Braavos as a consequence for her actions.

For context, here is what Williams specifically had to say to Digital Spy on the subject:

“Going into season six, she gets broken down totally. We see her at the lowest point we’ve ever seen her. This time it’s nothing to do with a family member being killed, it’s something purely about herself. I love that side of it, and I think this new series, we definitely see a new crack in her. There’s a moment where you question whether she’s going to get back up or keep fighting.”

Who knows where this story will go? That’s a part of what makes season 6 great, since there is so much mystery with storylines catching up with the books. We imagine that one of the greatest challenges now for Arya will be finding a way to connect her back to what is happening in King’s Landing and elsewhere, given that she now has been so physically separated from much of the rest of the world.
