‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 17 preview: The Abby – Chin drama lives on

Have you enjoyed the recent run of new “Hawaii Five-0” episodes? We hope so, given that CBS is now forcing you to wait a little while now to see what is coming up next. The next new episode of the show is going to air on March 11, and one of the main themes of it could be seeing the further development of the Abby / Chin relationship. We do think there are feelings there on both sides, but the primary issue other than that is mostly that Abby has to be a little bit conflicted. After all, she’s also got to worry about her job here, and can really only spend so much time focusing on making things with him work. If he finds out her double-life, there will be trouble.

The synopsis below for this episode also teases that we’re going to get some more news regarding Catherine’s exit, which is very good given that this is one of those relationships that doesn’t always make the most sense:

“McGarrett and Five-0 must track down a Russian spy who has stolen a flash drive containing classified NSA information that puts the life of a member of their Ohana at risk. Also, McGarrett finally learns why Catherine left him, and Abby continues to conceal her actual mission from Chin and Five-0.”

Ultimately, what we may be the most excited about here is that this is one of the few episodes in March that seems to be full of long-term character development. This doesn’t always happen with other crime shows.
