ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: New details on Summer Glau – Gerald McRaney episode
There are quite a few interesting developments coming on “Castle,” and one of the most interesting ones could be coming on the upcoming March 7 episode of the show entitled “The G.D.S.” given what we know about the subject matter. While we don’t quite know if Beckett or any of the show’s other regulars are going to have huge roles in it just yet, it turns out that Rick heading to Los Angeles may be rather useful in figuring out just what happened to some of the weeks that are missing in his head.
Take a look at the episode’s synopsis below:
“Castle returns to the City of Angels in search of answers about his missing time. But things take a deadly turn when he’s recruited by the legendary Greatest Detective Society to help solve a murder, on “Castle,” Monday, March 7 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Summer Glau guest stars as Kendall Frost, a heady private detective in Los Angeles who competes with Castle to try solving the murder, plus Gerald McRaney guest stars as Mason Wood, the head of the Greatest Detective Society.”
Even if the idea of this story isn’t superficially exciting, it’s hard to not be thrilled about the prospect of seeing Summer Glau stage a “Firefly” reunion of sorts here with Nathan Fillion. We’re always down for as many of those on “Castle” as possible, and as a fan of “Longmire” we’re also very much pleased to see McRaney turning up here. If he turns out to be some sort of a villain, we know that he’s excellent at playing them.

fans who waited 6 years for the “wedding” were given the shaft, why on earth would you expect this stable of writers to do something sentimental. I expect a catastrophic event that will absolutely seal the fate of at least one of the leads, a final nail in the Castle coffin.

This is rumored to be a trial run to see what Castle might look like once Stana Katic leaves. Doubling down is the departure of Paul Lee from ABC who was the driving force behind season 8. Without Lee this could very well be the end. I kinda like most of the episodes of 8B.

now that Fox is giving Bones one last season to go out with the ending they and the loyal fans deserves, and if this is truly Castle last season. Will ABC be doing the same thing for Castle and all the loyal fans they have? The last thing Castle needs is a spin off. If you do not have Rick and Kate living and working together you do not a show. I guess we will to weight and see what ABC thinks of the fans.

georgee, you have gotten that right since I agree with all the above comments. Too bad ABC has decided to ruin a once great show.

Far and away the most interesting thing the Castle show does is put Katic and Fillion in the same space and give them some great dialogue to bicker with or a difficult problem to solve. For the past 7 seasons Fillion and Katic have proved themselves to be the best, best rom-com team in the business. Anything that precludes that type of interaction by definition is less than the best you can find on TV or in the movies. Why would I knowingly watch something that isn’t their best when I know what their best looks like? But, thanks for the heads up.

Yup, not interested either. Going back to LA sans Beckett is just wrong on so many levels. I’ll be skipping this one. Thanks for the warning.

Looks like this episode is going to be another loser like episodes 12 and 13 where Castle gets most of the air time. Look like the loser show runners have still not heard the fans say We Want Castle and Beckett Together Solving Cases. Also looks like a loser in that it deals with Castle’s disappearance which I dismissed over a year ago because it was simply boring because nothing was happening.

Is episode 14 the one that show runner Hawley wrote all by himself? Did he tell us on 11/24 he did not have enough talent to write in a pregnant Kate.
