‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 10: Norman Reedus on big Daryl – Rick episode
For anyone out there who felt as though the first half of “The Walking Dead” season 6 was a little bit light on the Daryl, we come bringing some good news: That will be changing as we move into Sunday night’s installment! Not only are we going to see Norman Reedus more in the spotlight than ever before, but we’ve also learned that we’re going to be seeing him paired off with someone in Andrew Lincoln who he has not spent a whole lot of screen time with since the fifth season.
We’ve already seen that a part of this story will revolve around Rick and Daryl on a supply run, where they make some discoveries in the process. Here’s what Reedus himself had to say in setting it up to Entertainment Weekly:
“He and I have a very special episode, the two of us … Those two characters really rely on each other, and they are kind of at their best when they’re back-to-back fighting, and we see that again. That comes back up. They become the same sort of duo that they were way back when. So when you see everything that goes down in the second half, there’s a definite camaraderie there that’s being reunited, and it’s nice to see. It was fun to play as well.”
The biggest thing that we can hope for from this story tonight is that if we meet some new characters, it happens in awesome fashion. We’ve seen so many supply-run stories over the years that they do have a tendency to blend together, so part of the challenge here could be coming up with some unique ways to have them stand out.
