‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 11 preview: Jackson, April’s story in ‘Unbreak My Heart’

If you are looking for both information and answers in regards to Jackson and April’s relationship on “Grey’s Anatomy,” we come bearing some news: You’re going to get a chance to see almost everything on next week’s “Unbreak My Heart.” We’re going back in time to learn more about them, while understanding where they are in the present. It’s an ambitious hour that will try to cover a lot of ground from start to finish, but we have a feeling that in the end, this is going to most-likely be worth it.

If you haven’t seen the synopsis just yet, it should offer up a little bit of additional insight:

“The evolution of April and Jackson’s relationship is revealed through a series of flashbacks dating back to when they first met.  Simultaneously, we follow the years-long progress of one of Jackson’s patients.”

As for if this episode is going to pick up on some other stories, including Meredith’s revelations about herself and also the evolving relationship between Riggs and Owen, we’re going to have to wait and see on that front. Let’s just say that for the time being, we’re incredibly interested in seeing how the Jackson – April story is being told given how much time we’ve been waiting to see that happen. Sure, they’ve gotten plenty of smaller moments over the course of the season, but it’s been a little while since Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew have in particular had this sort of a spotlight on them.
