‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 16 video: Bernadette surprises Howard…

If you saw this past episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” you know something at the moment that not very many characters on the show do: Bernadette is pregnant! Now, Thursday night’s new episode of the show is going to further that along to what is the next key order of business: Her trying to find the right way to deliver this said big news to her husband.

This is what the sneak peek below spells out for you! We’re a little surprised that CBS chose to hand out such a big moment for free in advance, but they’ve done that and have her revealing the news to him in a series of Post-It notes. It’s really cute, since it shows off a more playful side to Melissa Rauch’s character than we’ve seen. This is someone who, for the longest time, was hardly that excited about the prospect of having children. Yet, she seems more than happy to try to make this moment special for Howard, and since that time she may have also come around to it to a certain extent.

We just have to hope here that this is a storyline that creates some fun moments for these two characters, but also doesn’t evolve the show into something that fewer viewers will have an interest in. There is traditionally a difficult line to tow when you start to introduce children into the mix, but we think that like with “How I Met Your Mother,” it won’t be a huge issue here. The writers waited a long time, and now we know these characters very well as people. It would’ve been different if this happened three or four seasons ago.
