‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 9 video: Tension stays high with Riggs, Owen

Just in case you thought that things were going to start to be different at some point soon for Riggs and Owen on “Grey’s Anatomy,” here’s a notice: That’s not going to happen.

We know that these two characters have this sort of deep history together that revolves in some way around Owen’s sister, but that is not something that they intend to do in the sneak peek below. Instead, they continue to bicker at the site of an emergency, which is derailed even more than it would be otherwise courtesy of an explosion that takes place at the ambulance. While our main characters seem to all be okay, that does not mean that the same goes for any of the prospective patients. (Also, the worst possible scenario seems to happen in every situation for the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.)

Do we think that these two are going to be able to work this out? In some shape or form, probably if for no other reason than that they have people around them that are going to encourage them, and we’re not entirely sure how rewarding of a story this is if there is no attempt at payoff.

One other question that we have regarding this sneak peek at the moment is simply one in relation to timing. Is this episode taking place after Meredith’s recovery from the attack, or are we seeing more of what happened while she was trying to work her way back? Hopefully, we’ll have a firm answer at some point in the early going.
