Grammys 2016: Jimmy Kimmel ‘mean tweets’ includes Drake, Meghan Trainor (video)
Tonight marks the 2016 Grammy Awards, and as a way to better celebrate music’s biggest night, Jimmy Kimmel has also decided to bust out something that has become a little bit of a tradition this time of year: His “Mean Tweets.” These are things that we always tend to love anytime the late-night host does them. Sure, maybe you could say that it does encourage people to be nasty on social-media for the sake of airtime, but it also shows that some people can easily laugh off what some often-anonymous trolls write about them and move on. Sometimes, we feel like we all do need to learn to take criticism a little bit better.
In a new video via Entertainment Weekly, you can see below the likes of Drake and Meghan Trainor respond to some comments. Some of the other people who are going to take part in the segment this time include One Direction, James Taylor, Little Big Town, Common, Blake Shelton, Ed Sheeran, and Wiz Khalifa.
As for the Grammys themselves, they are airing at present over at CBS, and there are a variety of people you can expect to see win including Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, who entered the night with more nods than anyone. Kimmel’s probably going to find some other material to mock over the course of this show, but we’re really not going to get too much of a good sense of that until after the show as a whole comes to a conclusion.
