‘Reign’ season 3 return date, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4 premiere confirmed by The CW
For those wondering when some of your favorite programs are returning to The CW, the news that we have today is rather simple: The dates have been set!
Let’s start here with “Reign” season 3, which went off of the air last month, but is going to return starting on Monday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time with all-new episodes. This show will be replacing “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” on the schedule, as that show will be done with its first season at that time. The great news for “Reign” fans here is that they now have a chance to show that some of the low ratings this season were due to the timeslot; if they can do that, then maybe they’ll have at least some sort of a chance at a fourth season down the road.
Now, let’s turn to a show that is entering its first season rather than one that has already aired. “Containment,” the upcoming post-apocalyptic drama from executive producer Julie Plec, has a super-ambitious timeslot starting on Tuesday, April 19 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. “The Flash” is the best lead-in that The CW has to offer, and with “iZombie” finishing its second season the prior week, this is a chance for this show to prove precisely what it is made of.
Finally, “Beauty and the Beast” will premiere its fourth and final season starting on Thursday, June 2 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. We figure that both “Reign” and “Containment” will also air in June, giving the network one of their most robust summer schedules in years.
