‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: First news on huge episode for Shemar Moore’s Derek

Odds are that if you’re a fan of “Criminal Minds,” you’ve heard the news that there is a very big episode coming up this season entitled “Derek.” There have been episodes in the past named after important characters, and typically this was a sign of one thing above all else: Tough times were coming. Let’s hope that’s not the case here, at least in the long-term, for Shemar Moore’s character.

CBS just released the synopsis for this March 2 episode (see below), and while they didn’t give a whole lot away, they did at least do enough to make sure you know just what sort of danger the character is in:

“When Morgan is abducted, the BAU scrambles to find him and save his life, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directed the episode. Legendary actor Danny Glover guest stars as Morgan’s father, Hank.”

There’s clearly something big that happens here one way or another, and even if Morgan makes it out of this still breathing, we certainly imagine that he won’t be the same guy that he once was.

We haven’t shared the details yet on the February 24 episode yet entitled “A Badge and a Gun,” so we figured we’d also include those in this article for good measure:

“The BAU searches Los Angeles after the team discovers security footage that shows an UnSub being invited into victims’ homes, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 24 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Marisol Nichols returns as Agent Natalie Colfax. Carmine Giovinazzo (“CSI: NY”) guest stars as Andrew Meeks, a former janitor.”
