Could Rita Ora jump back to ‘The Voice UK’ after ‘X Factor’ experience?
We know that the British tabloids love to stir up trouble, but could there be something to the latest rumors regarding Rita Ora’s singing-show status moving forward? It’s at least something to further investigate.
Let’s start with what the rumor is. Per the Daily Star, Rita could be offered a chance to return to “The Voice UK” next year when the show moves from the BBC over to ITV, with a source claiming that there could be some reasons why the series would want her aboard after a year on “The X Factor” this past fall:
“Rita is one of the hottest properties in entertainment so it is no surprise The Voice producers want her back … They were devastated when she moved to X Factor last year. But now it looks like she won’t be doing the next series, it means they’ve got a chance of poaching her.”
The funny thing is that we’d actually orchestrate a trade between “X Factor” and “The Voice” when it comes to on-air talent. We actually think right now that Nick Grimshaw and Rita would be better suited for “The Voice,” while Boy George and Paloma Faith are better for “The X Factor.” We think Rita had a lot of fun in the spinning chairs, and it gives her more of a chance to shine as an individual. It feels like the competitive drive that George and Paloma have would be better suited for a show like “The X Factor,” which is a little bit more intense.
We’ll see if anything ultimately comes out of this; the biggest thing that “The Voice” needs to fix is simply that the talent pool this year is pretty poor.
