‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 11 video: Felicity adjust to a new life

Arrow -At the end of the “Arrow” winter premiere, Felicity Smoak found out some devastating news: As a result of the shooting in the winter finale, she no longer has the ability to walk. She’s now confirmed to a wheelchair, and makes everything even trickier for her to handle and get used to.

The sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly is all about this particular subject, and you see Felicity do everything that she can to make this adjustment successfully. Unfortunately, strange things start to happen. Ultimately, we have the return of Goth Felicity! Who saw that coming? We do find this side of the character to be rather fun, mostly because it was so unexpected when we first saw her during “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak,” an episode from the third season that gave s much more insight into where she picked up some of her hacking skills.

As for whether or not Goth Felicity is just a hallucination of hers or some sort of villain with powers, that remains to be seen.

What’s been interesting about this particular story for us is that we’ve heard quite a few concerns that “Arrow” is sidelining Felicity be giving her a wheelchair, when we would argue instead that they are giving her possibly her strongest material yet. She’s always been representative of the fact that you don’t have to put on leather and shoot people to be a hero; she can do that with her brain, her intelligence, and her skills. It makes her even more of an underdog, and makes it even more inspirational when she figures out how to overcome.
