Is ‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 13 new tonight? Further details on ‘Invasive Species’
For all who are looking forward to some more news episodes of “Madam Secretary” on CBS, you are going to be waiting for one more week. Smartly thinking that they don’t want to go up against the NFC Championship Game on Fox. They know this game will be a ratings monster, and it would devastate anything that they were to put on the air. Thanks to that, the series is taking a week off.
When the show returns to the network on January 31, they will be doing so with an important hour entitled “Invasive Species,” one that will spell out the future and the fate for many beloved people in the ensemble … especially Henry. While the McCord family may appear happy in the photo above, a family tragedy is going to cause him to question whether or not he has given too much time to his work rather than those he cares about. There will also be tension with some other family members.
In addition to this story, there will be more going on with Elizabeth at work, but of course for the time being the network is being hush-hush on that. For the time being, allow us to just say that this is going to be a complicated hour of TV, which continues to make you wonder what matters most in life. Also, just because you are in a position of power does not mean that your life is necessarily devoid of problems.
We’ll have some further updates soon when it comes to “Madam Secretary,” so be on the lookout!

As NBC did with State of the Union, CBS seems hell-bent on getting rid of Madam Secretary. It’s at the top of my list of must watch TV shows and in fact, one of the very few programs other than news that I’ll sit down and watch on television.
Scheduling it to run on Sunday night almost ensures that it will either run late (thus preventing it from being recorded), or that it will be preempted because of late played football. And while I’m at it let me complain too about 60 Minutes too often being run later than its normal 7:00 PM (ET) time.
It’s little wonder that people like me are fleeing from network TV to the streamers.
