‘Agent Carter’ season 2 spoilers: Lyndsy Fonseca will return (and with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pros)

There are some things that we never imagined reporting, especially on Christmas Eve. A story about Lyndsy Fonseca returning to “Agent Carter” alongside many pros from “Dancing with the Stars” has to be at the top of the list.

The circumstances surrounding the return of Fonseca’s Angie are a little out there, so we will allow executive producer Michelle Fazekas to do most of the explaining. Here’s what she said to Entertainment Weekly:

“Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis [James D’Arcy] get in big trouble and are knocked out … Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence that starts in black and white … [Angie serves as] your conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself. It ties things back together from the first season and it’s connecting all of these things in a way that only a dream can do.”

This dream sequence is also going to boast a big musical number choreographed by “Dancing with the Stars” pro Louis van Amstel, which will feature him alongside current and former pros such as Dmitry Chaplin, Karina Smirnoff, Anna Trebunskaya, Sasha Farber and Damian Whitewood. Robert Roldan from “So You Think You Can Dance” is another notable performer taking part. All of this sounds completely out of left field, but if it is a way to bring back Fonseca even for just one episode, and even for a dream sequence no less, we’ll be happy to take it.
