‘Fargo’ season 3: Premiere date speculation, time period for FX series’ return
Tonight marks the end of the road for “Fargo” season 2, and given the epic story that unfolded last week, it may be fair to say that the show is going out with a bang.
Following this episode, we’re mostly just left to wonder where the show goes moving forward. Here’s what we know: FX has already renewed the series for a third season, and creator Noah Hawley has made it clear that we’re moving to a more contemporary setting after diving back so many years in season 2. Is it possible that some familiar faces return? Sure, but we’re not sure it is fair to call it a sequel to anything per se; instead, it will probably be connected by a few threads here and there, and bring out an array of different cast members.
As for the premiere date, there is no word on that at all at the moment. The wait between the first and second seasons was over a year, and it is certainly possible that Hawley and company take their time and we don’t see season 3 until 2017. In the end, though, it is far too early to speculate. For the time being, all we know is that we want to see all parties involved take however long they need in order to tell a great story. We’d much rather wait a year and a half for something awesome than get a show that feels rushed.
Hopefully, we will get some other news on “Fargo” very soon. Stay tuned!
