‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 11 preview: When will Julianna Margulies, cast return to CBS?

“The Good Wife” this season has been fantastic, but also fractured in its own way. With Alicia and Diane spending so much time apart, there are only a few select occasions in which the stories actually start to connect.

Will that happen more in the second half of the season? We are unfortunately going to be waiting for quite a long time to figure that out. The show is going to return on the network on Sunday, January 10, and with that it will try to repair some of the damage that was done by Eli Gold during his confession to Alicia about Will Gardner at the end of the hour. It’s probably not something you saw coming tonight, but it happened none the same.

As for where the show goes from here, it’s hard to say; with that said, it is really hard to imagine that Alicia and Eli’s relationship will ever be the same. She may also be playing a little bit of what-if game, which has her wondering if she had received that message from Will so many years ago, maybe things could have been different. It’s possible that they could have been in a different place and the shooting may have never happened!

Unfortunately, this is just a rough place for the show to leave us, but that is ultimately part of the point. If there is one thing that CBS has gotten a little better at over the years, it is getting some of its shows to deliver compelling midseason finale cliffhangers.
