‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3: Orlando Jones open to return (but doubtful he will)
For most of the past several months, Orlando Jones has kept pretty quiet over one of the most surprising announcements of this past summer: The fact that he would not be on the third season of “Sleepy Hollow.” We have no clue at all why Fox wanted to do this. Not only was he one of the best parts of the first two seasons as Frank Irving, but he was also a tremendous social-media ambassador for the show and favorite of many fans.
Now, we’re getting some more information about the exit, and it sounds even more surprising now that it seems like this was the show’s decision, and one that he did not have much say in. He does not seem to have any animosity over what happened, stating mostly that Frank may not have had too much to do without Headless and Moloch in the picture anymore.
Jones says that he is still open to returning to the show at some point in the future, but also made it clear that such an event is probably unlikely since they were the ones that asked him to depart in the first place. Personally, we’ll keep hoping for something like this to happen, and if not, can we at least get him on “Supernatural” or some other show within the genre? This is a guy who needs more air time on TV as soon as possible!
For those wondering, “Sleepy Hollow” will return in the new year to continue airing the remainder of the third season.
